August Film Festival
The Ethnic Relations Commission (ERC) in partnership with the multi-donor, multi- UN Agency, Social Cohesion Programme administered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Search for Common Ground hosts a film festival from August 16-28, 2004.
The festival is aimed at introducing audiences to the types of conflict that exist around the world and strategies which were employed to overcome these conflicts and fostering discussion at the national level as it relates to overcoming the harms and injustices of the past
It is also aimed at addressing the issue of sustainable conflict transformation processes that embrace respect, trust, cohesion and a commitment towards constructive actions and a better future for Guyana and identifying constructive responses to challenges confronting Guyanese.
